| Organic - it feels good! |
![]() ![]() Growing Organic, going solar, living with nature and organising our life, work and play has been our path for more than 25 years. Every season we enjoy an increasing sense of self-sufficiency and we think with an ever 'lighter footprint'. Doing things by hand or with the help of appropriate simple technology, we retain 'ownership' of our food production. Doing things 'the natural way' we also gain meaningful entertainment value and a sense of purpose that seems pretty hard to come by nowadays. Most nutrients for our garden and farm come from leaf litter and seaweed. Our chooks have become part of the 'crop rotation'. Our old cowshed is now a small winery. Our first fresh vegetable in spring is asparagus (September - November). Raspberries ripen around Christmas . Most other times we have, strawberries, lettuce, silver beet, parsley, carrots, potatoes and lots more; sweet corn February/March, tomatoes from mid January then there is a variety of beans, peas and onions, cucurbits, apples, pears, peaches, black currants and lots of herbs. |
